A man was taken to the hospital with cuts yesterday evening after a fight involving a weapon on Cranbrook Road in Ilford, just a short walk from Ilford Station. The Metropolitan Police received a call at 6:15 PM on Wednesday, June 4, about a brawl involving a group of men. Officers arrived on the scene alongside paramedics and found a 19-year-old who had sustained two lacerations. Thankfully, his injuries were later assessed at the hospital as non-life-threatening.

Two men, aged 19 and 20, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public area. Both are currently in custody. The Metropolitan Police have announced that they are increasing patrols on Cranbrook Road to reassure local residents and commuters.
