Redbridge Council has issued an apology as this week's bin collections have been affected by these staffing issues and the sweltering weather.
These delays are happening during a scheduled catch-up week, which means the crews are already dealing with heavier workloads than usual, making the situation even more challenging.
In their statement, the council mentioned, "Our teams are working diligently to get services back on track and will be catching up on missed collections as quickly as they can."

What should you do? Keep putting your waste out at the boundary as you normally would. The crews will collect it as soon as they can. The council has also noted that they can't provide updates for individual addresses, so please don’t move your bins—just leave them out until they’re collected.
The council expressed their apologies for the inconvenience and thanked residents for their patience as they work to restore normal service.
