Barking and Dagenham Carnival returns on Saturday 11 July at Barking Park, running from 1pm to 6.30pm. This year's theme — Birds of Paradise — was chosen by young people and community participants, and shapes the entire programme: costume, dance, and visual arts rooted in Caribbean, African, British and European traditions.
